:) Thanks for info. I am not using 2" box ACROSS the towhooks. I am just making 2" brackets attached to the towhooks and will use 11/2" box (still a little large, I guess) across and bolted to the brackets. You never know, I might want to take it off later.

Moving slowly. Finally got the cross bar for eng. support in place. If I were to do it again, I would suggest putting the front bar at the base of the tow hooks, as low and as far forward as practical. Mine is very close to the motor. We "hung" the motor in place and attached the tranny and timing belt mounts. Then we could see where we wanted to be. I also could use more space toward the firewall. I lined up the rear bar with the frame support braces for the control arms. I SHOULD have moved that bracket so that it centered over the after space where the tie rods come in to connect with the steering rack.
It will work out, but my earlier idea of retaining the original front mount and connecting it to a "T" is lost  We will have to cut it up, and weld to the cross bar. Here are the bars and brackets as started:(pics later) We will have to creat another mount for the rear. On the plus side, the Magnus intake mannifold and 70mm throttle body (that's too large; a 65mm would be better) seems to fit easily.
Here is the front bar ready to locate and cut the cross piece and secure the front mount:

Here are the brackets and bars for front and back as first planned:

Here is the rear bracket primed in place:

This shows the front bar and mount as we will have to change. We'll cut on the lines and weld the mount to the bar.

This shows the rear bar and mount( just to the right side of the starter). We will have to cut some of the eng. mount, drill a new hole, and fabricate a new mount on to the bar's underside.

Oh Yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Looking good, I thought you were supposed to flip the rear mount upside down?

Yeah, that's right. I just took the picture when it was first hung. We will still have to work out the bracket for the bar, and then figure which will work better.

Where are you guys working on this car at? I went up to Hampton Va a few months ago to pick up my 4g. Wish I would have known how close I was and I would have stopped in for a bit.
