I"m about 80% of the way done with my car. I'm now putting the front axles in. I used the factory turbo colt passenger side. and i went to use the AWD dsm drivers side. But it seems to be tooo long.

What axles did you guys use.

In Jason's awd dvd, he says you can use the 4g61t(c53) axles.

Ya mooch.

There's an easy answer to most any swap related questions.

What kind of car are you swapping into?
Ok, then that's what you use.

Mirage turbo axles were "designed" for the turbo style transmission. I am running those axles and they work perfectly. I can't speak for 1.5L manual or auto or 1.6L NT axles.

Assuming you are swapping into a 3g c/s/m.

89 turbo hatch. I dont have the stock drivers side axle. It broke when i first got it. So i put in a 90fwd dsm axle.

And yet another set back #-o

You can use a GVR4 or AWD DSM intermediate shaft that bolts to the block, but you should (have to?) use a Mirage turbo axle.

This is the only picture I could find. This is the passenger side axle though. 1.6L T on the left, 1.5L manual on the right. 1.6L T is the axle that will "snap" into a turbo tranny. That 1.5L axle will not lock into the transmission

Why not? I saw hundreds of them. 91 Eclipse, AWD left axle.

"stub shaft"
"includes int shaft"
"mid shaft"

Wait.. maybe your confused..

I have a drivers side 2piece axle from a AWD talon. I put it on, and it wont fit. its a bit too long, and i cant get the hub to bolt to the strut.

Ok, so keep the part that bolts to the block, and find a Mirage Turbo "axle".

I got both my pass and driver axles from Carquest. $74 each, brand new, lifetime warranty
