Sorry, I did not see your post somehow...

here goes:

The reason I did not switch the bolt pattern was simply cost. I do not at the present moment even have enough money to finish this project. So to switch to 5lug. Would be at minimum a new set of rims. A brake upgrade in the front and have to buy a set of axles to slide into the rear or find another rear diff (I was given the one I have) Thanks PTTcolt. I will consider a 5 lug next year though

As for the rotation, they are the same. Both pinion gears sit on the passanger side of the ring gear, and the gear ratios are exact. (same tooth count)

The axle width compared to the stock colt axle is within 3/8 of a inch. Not even noticable. I also run 1/8 wheel spacers in the front so I can run rims that do not have the rescesses for the rotor bolts so the look is perfect.

As for the rear brakes I was going to use the ford brakes, but after looking I realized the colt rear discs are larger then the Turbo coupes. I do not have the money for a manual proportioning valve so I an running the stock colt discs in the rear. Calipers are almost a direct bolt on. As for the E-brake.....after a lot of thought I decided to dump it all together. Both cables were siezed up anyway ans was not using it last year so I figured I might as well save some wieght. I will probably regret this and reinstall the e-brake

And as for the FWD vs AWD thing...hey whatever floats your boat. But don't knock the AWD till you have felt the insanity of tire thrashing of a 500+ Whp FWD car.

Thread split.

Keep the bickering out of the tech type threads.
