Charles, you spend too much time on the road. Leave out his tranny, and go with a new stage 3 from TRE

I got a 4 bolt for sale with axles if you are looking for one just in case that deal falls through.

Where are you Spinmaster? I thought I sent you a PM. Give me a contact or call (757) 651-2524,cell, anytime. Very interested in your deal.
Today I opened up the front. Was in worse shape than I thought. Sort of pushed back and left. All jammed in! Power cutting wheel, nibbler, and shears got it opened. Condensor is out; will pull radiator tomorrow (an easy work, now), and take off the doors and fenders.
Once motor is out, I should be able to see things.
QUESTION: Will I have to get a different starter to match the smaller AWD flywheel? Or is there any problem there?

IIRC, the 4g61t starter will work with the awd flywheel.

OK. Thanks for the starter info.
I now know that I need an AWD tranny(from TRE), an AWD flywheel(from DSMTrader), and a 4-bolt rear end, axles, and cups(from Spinmaster?). I'll use my old starter, clutch, and pressure plate. Where are you Spinmaster? Or I could go ahead and get the 4-bolt on line. Need to get'r dun.
I also need to line up the square steel tubes for frame support, and the motor mount support fab. I don't have that info. in one place. I need to review and get some number and stock sizes, unless SOMEONE  happens to have the info. handy.

:-? Err, No. I am going to use a regular hood (from the "frontclip"). I want to put my old scoop back on as well as get some vents.. Easy with metal; hard with fiber. Anyway, my carbon hood is not lost. The damage was underneath and can be covered with fiberglass. The top finish is fine.

Ok, I have gotten the car front and both outside fenders removed. The radiator is trash unless I can get a new core for the alum. end tanks. The two fans are gone (they also melted some on the manni.). I have to test the IC and if good will do some fin reshaping. Same for the condensor. Couldn't get it into the bay today, but engine pulling due tomorrow. Alternator is trash. (I think I have another.) Water pump is probably good. DNK about the pwr steering pump.(I may have another one of these, also.) It's nice to have a disassembled Colt available. Next stop: wait for engine pull and parts acquisition.
