Hahahaha, good point. Though 500hp and a decent 330' should take care of that ET with ease in an awd csm.

I think for a street car an AWD CSM is just a no-brainer. I decided it needed to be done when going from a slow roll with nitrous V8s. 500ft/lbs of dead hooking torque from the nitrous V8s really look like the car leaps forward, and then I just go into an uncontrollable burnout frenzy and have to make up the 10 car length difference in 4th gear, which actually is an interestingly doable feat that I recommend everyone try at least once.

For a track car only, FWD can be made to hook just fine, but for a high HP street car its the best way to go IMO.

AWD and loving it!

13.2 @ 85 mph, 70 psi compression on cylinder # 3 at the track, let off the gas about 200 feet early because I couldnt see the staging lanes (was burning too much oil at the time.

Absolutly, if you want awd just get a dsm instead. My reason for getting my mirage in the first place is that its light and fwd.
JJ. An AWD CSM is relativiely 400 lbs lighter than an AWD 1G/2G. IMHO that's the best reason to consider making an AWD CSM.
400lbs? I guess it depends on the model. I think a 1g AWD DSM has a curb weight of about 3100lbs with full interior. I have a 93 Mirage coupe that has an AWD 4g63t setup and it tips the scales at 2400lbs with a 1/4 tank and full interior.

AWD is the reason I own a 4G63 CSM.

I voted "no".

The reason I have and will again own a 4g63 CSM is for cost effectiveness and sleeper status. Only the cost effectiveness part is interfered with when taking an AWD swap into account and even these can be done on a decent budged.
