Noticed that over the long weekend (well at least in Canada) that the site wasn't updating visually. I can click on the same unviewed topics and for 3 days and return to the main screen and they stay unviewed, but moreover, the date on the site clock is way off, and updates things all wrong. Any ideas on what the heck is happening? Confused I ams. :butthead:
I also do not received visual updates on posts I have responded to, ie. it will not update with the fact that I have posted. I know it posted but it hasn't updated the screens yet.

*EDIT* site fixed itself.

The last few days I have had trouble logging in. I have to do it twice before it registers, and then all the unread posts are umarked. Using Firefox.

One more thing which is minor but nagging... without logging in, the site says this:

The time now is Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:17 am
All times are GMT - 8 Hours

However, it's 11:17 here, which is GMT -6. The time stated above is GMT +3.

If you don't log in, the site has no idea what time zone you are coming from so you get the default time from the server (or something, I forgot what it uses)

phpBB2 has always been retarded with time. _always_

If you visit 4G61T.com and thn log in, you will get referred to 4G61T.org. As the cookies are set for .com, if .org tris to read your cookies, you're not logged in. And if you log in then, you'll log in on .org. It's like you logged in and immeditely log out after that and then log in again. It's a cookie issue. I always log on w/ the .org domain now.

Some people are having trouble logging in. I'm trying to find the cause.

i think all that happened was that everyone's cookies needed to be refreshed... i have a shortcut to the forum that takes me straight to the posts since i've been gone and it'll say i don't have any, but i notice that i'm not logged in. all i did was log in and check the "remember my info" checkbox and have been good since.

nadda on the cookies for some of these issues.

They log in and it just dumps them back to the not-logged-in forum front.

if you have this problem... email me! (admin@4g61t.org)

I have MSNM and email icons in the smiles. And the new post icon where the MSNM icon should be, or maybe where the email icon should be. Then there is the nodding smiley where the attention icon should be in the topic list.

Can you do a screen capture? I'm confused.
