Well today has been a long day. Headed down to AMS to get the EMS dialed in and planned on hitting the track on the way home. Ran 93 octane the whole day, relevant mods, 3065 turbo, 272/272's, 720s, stock regulator, stock 1G intake mani, stock 1G head, evo3 exhaust manifold and 2.5" FP O2 housing. 10psi netted me 259hp, 223tq.
18psi was about 380hp, 330tq.
18psi dyno
18psi dyno via tailpipe

So we turn the boost up to 20psi and then 23, adjusting timing and fuel as necessary which gave us approximately 395hp :)

I wasn't giving up yet! We cranked the sucker up to 25psi, amazingly getting very little knock, if any, pulling back a little timing and adding fuel.
405hp, 351.5tq
:headbang:

25psi dyno chart

I was feeling pretty good by now, but things got even better at the track. It was packed due to some lame bracket/car club race night which only let me get in 4 runs from 6-11pm.
First run out was a solid 12.5@119mph. Second run pulled a 12.04@122mph.

12.0@120ish

I turned the boost up a few clicks to somewhere around 22 up from 19-20ish. I definately couldn't stop now. The next run I clicked off an 11.9@121! YES! :)

11.9 video
The final and greatest run of the night gave me an 11.7@121.5mph. Rock on. Cameraman didn't tape it so I only have the slip

60's went from 1.9, to 1.8 to 1.7, to an even lower 1.7. I started out slipping/dumping the clutch at 3500, then 4000, then 4500 and then finally 5000. The slicks just hooked the higher I went. The car literally spun until 75-80mph if not more as you'll see in the videos. I'm very happy and impressed a ton of people today.

Yeah, but how is your hand? :)

In the dyno video (405), why did the RPMs drop so frick'n fast when you cut it?

Saw the 11.9 vid and it was awesome. Way to go Jay! You've made alot of San Diego DSM'ers jealous.

Dam, that was a great run. The dude in the near lane, was he dragging an anchor or what? All he saw were tail lights. Great job.

Man you know what, I think 10's really are possible right now. The AEM was pulling timing and adding fuel during most of 3rd and 4th in both the 11 second runs. My intake temps were up there, around 130ish whereas they were near 110-115 on the dyno so it was pulling a bit of timing. I can play around with stuff and maybe (miraculously?) get into the 1.6 60 foots and dip into rollcage territory (11.4)

Or I can throw in some race gas, crank the boost up to near 30, 32 somewhere in there and click off a 10.9@xxx? :)

In 4 runs I dropped what, 8/10ths of a second. Pretty good and it felt like the car had more in her!

you have a great turbo also
at 32 psi that turbo makes 532 horses. what pistons do you have?

Ross 8.5:1 pistons, Eagle rods. It definately was made to pump out serious HP at high boost #'s.

Just looked at the 11.9 run, your 1-2nd and 2-3rd seem slow, are you running the standard box? Is there just too much power to shift quickly?

Mine doesn't shift good if I slip the clutch too much. Synchros don't line up quickly enough.

No, probably just need a few more runs to get the timing right while it's bouncing off the rev limiter. I'm not quite sure exactly at what point or time to shift when it just sits there bouncing off the limiter through the whole gear :) I try to go by MPH at that point.

It's a awd box with the GVR4 1st gear so close to 35-40mph whatever it is in 1st, somehere around 65 in 2nd

Should be able to knock a few more tenths off that time then when you get used to shifting it better.

Sound like you have a lot of potential to go a lot faster.

Do have a goal of how fast you want her to run? 10s or even 9s or is that getting into the unstreetable territory?
