Went to the track on Saturday. I got a best time of 13.8@103m/h.

Not bad for a relitively unmoded car.

I ran this with only 2 1/4in zorst, K&N, 14psi and H'Duty clutch. Only removed the spare tire which is about the size of a bike tire.

I was really happy how consistant my times were and I punched out a 14.014@102m/h for my first run ever! I thought I'd be too nervous.

Any way here is how my five runs went.

1st. 14.051@102m/h 2.098 60'
2nd. 13.900@103m/h 2.032 60'
3rd. 14.092@100m/h 2.150 60'
4th. 13.838@103m/h 1.988 60'
5th. 13.916@100m/h 2.068 60'

Not bad overall. You're 60' times could use improving. Clearly your AWD lauch technique needs work. You're clearly bogging it every run. Try keeping the revs up higher and slipping it a little more on launch.

I've been launching between 5000-6000 and realeasing the clutch quick but not dumping it.

I find when I slip the clutch on launch it makes getting between gears slow.

Why would this be?

Not sure why that would be, other than the clutch isn't up to it and everything gets too hot. Maybe check and change your gear oil. Truth is I don't even know why I suggested a launch technique. Every car, climate and driver is different. Just trial and error will yield the correct launch. Could try dumping it if you think your driveline is up to it.
