On my integra I never lifted off when shifting at the drag strip. Trying this in my mirage resulted not in grinding gears, just not going in gear at all. So, no powershit on these trannies or just tired sychros?

My trans is ok, when i try to power shift at upwards of 7000 it grinds from 1st to 2nd to 3rd :x . I just gotta be nice and all is smooth  . I even tried bg syncroshift but it really was not too much better. It was wierd though the first ride i took after the fluid swap it was like buttery smooth, but after that it seemed to go back to normal :-? . Gotta love dsm trannies.

Probably a little bit of both, mine has over 200K on it so I semi power shift. I just don't let off the gas all the way so RPM's don't drop as much and boost doesn't fall off. Plus by the time I'm ready to shift its close to cut out so holding the throttle down would only result in some loud fuel cut. The best tranny i've ever owned was in a '93 Probe GT. Shifted like silk and if you were quick you never had to use the clutch, no grinding at all. But that was the only thing good as far as the powertrain was concerned.

if you like replacing transmissions and shift forks, power shift away, or you can get a keydiver chip or a tmo chip, they both hold rpm between gears, at a specified rpm,(6k or so) and can give you a launch rpm(4-7k, or specified value) it will save clutches, tranny's and your wallet.
you will need an eprom ecu though.

Power shift + DSM tranny = Broken Tranny. Get a no lift to shift chip or an auto tranny. Also if you wnat to go all out with your tranny replace the Master Cylander, Slave cylander and rebuild the pedal assembly and weld the swing arm.

Ok, I guess I wont try to powershift my new tranny (kinda sucks because it makes a diff in the 1/4). I'm also getting the steelshift forks and a billet clutch fork. I'm keeping my act 6puck/stock PP plate combo.

My spare ecu will arrive tomorrow with keydiver chip with the no lift option, also got a separate adjustable studder launch box.

powershifting is holding the gas down while shifting to keep the RPMS up.
