Guys,

Myself and a couple of other New England DSM members want to test the waters about bringing back "DSM powered" class to the DSM Shootout. I figure that there quite a few cars on this forum that would could appriciate such class!

Here a link to our thread on Buschur Racing forum: http://highboostforum.com/forum/showthr ... post178201

So what do you guys think?

I think it's a great idea. Especially with the abundance of people doing RWD 4g63 swaps these days.

But not just RWD cars! There are plenty of FWD and AWD swapped cars on this forum!

Another question, what about 4G61t cars? I guess if they look close enough to a 4G63 they should be allowed?

I've seen 4g61-powered cars racing there before, they don't know the difference. They look identical. Unfortunately, the shootout has changed a lot since the golden days. Now it's just all about EVO's and total Quick 16 domination. :-?

Well, bringing this class back would be going "old school" at the shootout ;).

But first step, is to find people who are actually interested in racing in this class at the Shootout!

Never mind... Dave is not bringing back this class.

Doesn't seem like anyone here cared, anyway...

It has been DSM/EVO shootout since 04 or 05 ;)

But I still call it DSM Shooutout. :)

Many MANY people have told me that Dave Buschur is a total dickhead. I emailed him about bringing my Colt to the shootout and he told me that he'd love to see me there. But I was never able to make the shootout because I ran out of money the day before and I was stuck at home. :(

Nah not a dickhead. Just doesn't take shit.

A lot of people do not have the money to tow their car or the desire to drive five hours from home then wring the shit out of their car's.

No, he's actually a dickhead. Probably one of the biggest dickheads ever, on top of being one of the most whiny bitches ever. That man will never get a penny of my money except for when I pay admission to go to the shootout.

I do have to agree with tonus though, at last years shootout he was being an ass, very strict on what could dyno, a very low max rev limiter for the dyno, and overall mainly dynoed evos the whole time. It is known that he doesnt really like the dsm scene anymore, yet he worked so hard to build it up. I go to the shootout for the shootout, not to support buscher in any way possible. Also it is very true, it seemed like it's becoming a big evo scene (i have no problem with it but eh) And shit, i even ate at arbys....
Its delicious..
