took the colt to the track last weekend with the stock 4g63 still on the 14b.

I borrowed some 24" slicks because the worn out street tires were spinning 4th from the torque spike

I was able to cut a 1.9 60' and went 12.6@112mph

Heres the video

Hoping to best it this friday.

Really nice time and trap speed! What's your full mod list if you don't mind?

its a stock 4g63 with a stock 14b, the head has hks 264s that i had from an old car, and it has a front mount intercooler.

Stock computer still so I don't have anything to tune with. I just used a manual boost controller to raise the boost.

On a dynojet here at work it made 306hp/317tq spiking 23psi dropping to about 14psi

It has some hacked up 2.5 inch downpipe on a factory 1g o2 housing so those will be the next things to get changed

Going to the track again this weekend

Any porting on the manifold or turbo? Those are some really good numbers on a 14b. I'm really surprised you were able to run 23psi with stock injectors and 1g ignition timing without knocking to the moon and back.

No porting on the turbo or manifold, its all stock like...never been off the engine stock. It only spiked 23. It falls to about 14psi by redline.
It's on 110oct just to be safe seeing as how I don't have any way to tune it right now. It has stock injectors, stock fpr, stock ecu, almost everything really

It very well could be knocking. But hopefully the 110oct will keep it from blowing up.

Going back to the track today. I'll let you know how it goes

Same boost level but I fixed my horrible alignment so we'll see what it can do with some more attempts

Those are some really good numbers for a stock engine bud. Is this car AWD?

I wish it was awd. But no it's fwd with 24" slicks. It did. 1.9 sec 60' on that pass. Then I did a 1.8 60' and missed 2'd gear.

Wish me luck tonight.

The track got rained out last night. Damn florida weather. But there is an 1/8th mile track open tonight. I'll take it up there and see if I can get the 1/8th mile time any quicker

Haha wonder motor perhaps. When I had it on the dyno at work it was pretty lean at peak torque but I don't really have anything to tune the fuel with so I just put 110oct in it and crossed my fingers.
Its raining again so I doubt they will be running 1/8th mile tonight. This rain is killing me

Really impressive #'s for such a simple setup. Any idea how much the car weighs?

It's probly got 100lbs yanked out of it inside the car

I don't know if the 4g63 is any heavier than the 4g61 though
