If you're running a DSM 4G63 and a DSM tranny, you kinda have to compare the two. 8)

The reason I put the weight in as a factor, is the CSM easily weighs 500lbs less (in most cases) than the DSM. That should be good for a 1/2 second in most cases vs. a FWD DSM.

Joe's Laser is extremely light for the record and sponsors don't hurt either. Not bashing on him though, he's one of the people who helped motivate me. I was going to try for his 14b record with a 1.6L at elevation...probably impossible but you never know till you try.

I'm pretty sure he mentioned he put it together himself.
I may be wrong of course.
Just gonna go ahead and say your wrong. It was one of shearers first top mounts if i remember correctly. its something is clevelands Air. I've said it once. and i'll preach it. They seem to somehow make More HP then anywhere else with the least amount of mods and stay together. its retarded.

I was already mention a few times here-but just to clear the air-

The Colt went 10's on a 60-1 (10.7@136) and GT42 (10.4@148-best MPH of 15X) Both times, driven to and from the track. On he 42- A LOT was left on the table-since I was out of fuel with 1000cc injectors. 708whp@30ish psi was the end of the party with 1000cc on gas.

And The Colt has a Shearer old school top mount, one of if not the first one ever made. The RX-7 has had manifolds I put together on it.

The Grass Roots Colt has made a 10.9@125 with me at the helm-It makes more power now, but no times yet.

Alright Hemi let me reiterate my point.
What i am trying to say is whether you get cheaper parts, free dyno time or have a shop build your car it will not drive itself down the track.
Obviously sponsorships help out because it gives you a clear advantage over someone who has no sponsors.
Hopefully now you understand what i'm saying.
If you disagree with this then you are :weedman: my friend.

Now i don't think the manifold on JP's car was a shearer.
I'm pretty sure he mentioned he put it together himself.
I may be wrong of course.
Also we both know JP's car had much more in it and please don't mention the word light.
Weight should not be a factor when talking about CSM's especially between csm's.
Bobby's car is light and so was JP's.
I think you're just gay for Bobby but that's just me.

Anyone remember this car?

That red colt was a member here, 1slowcolt. Got to see it run, bent the throttle shaft when I saw it running. Block concreted, frost plugs blowing out all the time, so running straight water, Haltech standalone, ...... motor was pulled out and installed into a buddies 2G Talon following that. Car was sick, have some more pics of it too. I recognized that photo or at least the Tapp Auto name. Tapps dad was Dean of transportation at Algonquin College here in the Capital, Ottawa. Anywho, Chris Tapp was faster when I saw their two cars, Colt from Dan at Evolution Tuning and Chris of Chris Tapp Auto, running back on a stupid hot 40+ Celcius day with humidex. Dan's car broke part way down the track and still rolled in the 12's, Chris took the monster AWD 2G to 9.95 corrected to 9.5 as was stated over the intercom. Ah, memories of Luskville, back in 2006?

Anyways my story does not contain a Colt in the 9 or 10 second bracket, but one should have been.

Back from the dead!

The Colt was a stock motor-back yard ported head, and an old unidentified Frank turbo, my guess was a frank 3? Cam2 no other injection.

24.5 will (may be the perch massaged- 26 will need a correct offset and some mod to the strut spring perch.

IMO you don't need 26 tall unless your north of 800whp, and even then I'd still run 24.5 for a street car.

Whatever you can find easier! Need a "custom" wheel to fit a 13 over a GT caliper. The 13 will hook better at the track, the 15 will be better for the street (if you had to run a slick on the street :) )

I want to say they were 23''x8x13 perfect for 400-500whp and a turbo colt trans gearing.
