Went down to the 'ole 1320 in Pueblo for their opening day steet tire only test'n'tune. I chose to leave the slicks at home only to find out they really weren't enforcing the rule. :axe:

My car made a total of 15 passes, one pass was a break pass that was quickly fixed. I piloted it for 12 of them and Davis (Hemicolt) was behind the wheel for 3.

I started the day off trying to push 29 psi through the wimpy 205/55-14's but found as the boost went down, my times got faster. My best pass came at 24-25 psi after hot lapping it 3 times and my coolant temps over 210*.

60' 2.099
330 5.564
1/8 8.103
mph 98.02
1000 10.237
1/4 12.009
mph 127.65

Best trap run was on a 12.012 @ 128.15 on the previous pass. My last 3 passes were all a 12.0xx at over 127 mph...but I just couldn't drive er to a damn 11.99.

I was pleased with my car for the day, she drove over 200 miles round trip and only got pulled over once and had only one minor break. I'm still slow but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Slow??? Your damn near at 130 mph man, thats nice to see from our little cars. Are you still running a stock engine? What do you have for a turbo?

Only internal mods (some say they are still a bolt on) are the HKS 272's. Still rocking the stock 4g61t and she is proving rather strong and potent. Pueblo Motorsports is honestly one of the worst tracks I've even been too. Even though its 1500 ft lower than Bandimere, I'm always a good bit quicker at Bandimere since track prep is top notch.

I really wanted high 11's...so I'm still slow.

Thanks for the complements guys, I was just .010 away from HUGE goal so I was just a bit bummed. Its pretty frustrating running four passes faster than 12.020 but not hitting 11.999. Not to many people up here can say they run 11's on a street legal car with its stock internal engine.
Not to mention getting that monkey off my back for a little while.

I'm still pretty happy with how strongly the car performed. I made a long drive, got pulled over and no ticket :butthead: , beat the living shit out of it 14 times :shit: ...let Davis beat the shit out of it 3 times :shit: , then she drove home without a glitch...thats saying a lot for a csm/dsm :cheer: .

My next thoughts though are towards safety. I'm starting to get nervous in this thing so my money will have to be spent on cage, seat and harness.

Oh, I suck at computers so here a link to my car domain.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3010389

I just updated it and Davis has the video footage...bug him if you want to see some clips. :finga:

:o How much does that thing weight?
I like your engine bay, no useless stuff in there...

But as far as street legal car goes, in my book, it takes more than street tires. I like my interior better than yours ;)

But the exterior of your car is awesome! black tinted windows on flat black makes it a mysterious and mean looking thing!

 I just can imagine his face when he looked at how the interior contains... nothing but you, a seat and a steering. 8)

Is it 2135 with you or without?

The look was classic, no need to search either. LOL

It weighed 2135 w/driver.

2135 w/driver! that explains part of it!

I was wondering how could a 4g61t be trpping 128mph with 12 flat...
I am still amazed and impressed with your time, but the weight is for sure one factor.

I am busting my chops to achieve 11.59 with slicks and 4g63t... So you do a hell of a good job with that black widow my friend!

Weight is definately a huge factor. Problem is people think of weight loss as a numerical value, when its the proportional value that matters.

Removing 500 lbs from a 4000 lb car is a 12.5 % reduction. Removing 500 lbs from a 2500 lb car is a 20% reduction. The more you remove, the more drastic the difference is felt. My power:weight ratio is around 1:5.5...

What does your car weigh in at? How are your 60's?

2490 with me in, and I think the passenger seat was removed.
My best 60 foot is 1.80 on 24.5 slicks
