240addiction, how much boost does that stock stall make on that evo 3 16g, and what rpm does it stall up to?

Why do you want to stay in a gear longer??? Gearing down is your friend in the 1/4 mi and honestly your not making enough power to benefit from longer gears than the auto already has. Maybe if you get a larger turbo or a large shot of nitrous but still. If your tranny is slipping as you say, then going to a bigger slick is only gonna make it worse.

Trust me about understanding pedalling...do you want to drive my car and see what smoking the tires at 85 mph is like? All you have to do is ask and I will let you at your own risk. This isn't on street tires either... I can promise your traction issues are nothing like mine, auto or manual.

OGP's car may be auto but is a different set up, what works for one doesn't always work for another. 24.5" will be plenty big for you, even with a 50 shot and they will grow to over 26" by 100 mph. If you do go to a much higher stall then by all means, get the 24.5" slicks.

I think you need to address your suspension issues first, your completely unloading your front tires off the line. Have you done anything like put stiffer springs and struts in the rear? Hell, you can use a set of AWD rear struts and springs.

I just want to see you competative, but if you feel I'm steering you in the wrong direction....ignore me. I'm slow.
Did you not understand what this post was about I am looking to upgrade to a larger turbo Because the FAKE 16G AINT WORKING anymore. The tranny was slipping, but only in fourth and it looks like it is no longer doing that when I tried it last night. Also launching the car after I got it tuned is much better, perfect on concrete in fact, last night was the first time I got it really good out of the hole and it was amazing. The stall is also on the list of first things to do as well.

I know you have wheel spin I know you understand it, I was making it clear that I was still having the traction issues.

Why are you running 1150's then, not every setup works on every car right.....

I have been running stock suspension up front for a long time, but will be switching to a coil-over setup in the front and back. Right now I have AWD AGX shocks with stock springs that get really stiff. These launches on the street were on the softest settings.

I will be competitive don't worry. I will be ready for pinks and will be very competitive this year.

OGP's car is no longer auto, I think he had problems getting the auto mounted up in his car. There isnt many auto 3rd gen's that I know of, so its going to be interesting to see what numbers 240addiction's car runs. Your going to want atleast a 24inch tire, I think a 25inch is going to be the way to go, my friend has run the numbers, and a 24inch tire is going to top out 3rd gear in your auto around 120mph. Your not going to want to shift into 4th in the quarter, IMO 25inch should work out quite well in the quarter
either way, the swap is done. I agree staying of of fourth would be preferred and right way. That is why I want to run a large slick to avoid 4th all together. I dont think 120 will be enough I want more. First one to the 130's right Bobby?

I can not hold it anymore than about 8 psi even with stock DSM brakes on the front I was not really trying to hard to hold the pedal down last night, but stated getting really hard to hold it. it is about 2200-2400 RPM, sorry I was trying to hold the brake pedal and look at the boost gauge. it is a stock stall so they are around 2300 I think.

My quote made more sense...how is that even relevant? I went with 1150's because I wanted plenty of fuel should I decide to go with a larger turbo. Having Link opened up the door to be able to control much larger injectors than necessary.

Speaking of Link, that should also be on your list. I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. For large cam's, big ass injectors and e85: my car idles great, no longer dies after a hard pull and is hands down faster than before.

I still think going to a quick easy bolt on would be a good choice. Internally gated PTE of some sort. If you buy a 6152e, I'll trade you straight across for my 5031de. Think about it.

sure.....

I dont like the way the PTE bolt on housings are they dont have any top end for a 2.0 L, so I will be starting at the drawing board this year.

The 6776e with a p-trim wheel will have more than enough top end. Even in a PTE housing. I bet a 6152e will also make plenty of power up top. Your cams, valve springs, and intake will likely be your limiting factor with either turbo. But I can understand your point about mitsu style housing being a restriction. Maybe do a .82 t3 housing gt35r, a bad ass turbo for top end.

Just how big are you wanting to go and on your budget. What turbo's are YOU considering. Are you still gonna use an AFC2 to tune with?

I am not a millionaire how about just a normal one. I am curious how good they are internally gated though.

A Full-Garrett 35R cannot be ran internally gated. If you run it with the FP bolt-on housing you can, but why do that when they already go through the trouble to build a gorgeous V-band turbine housing with a provision set for external wastegate?

it is a 30r not a 35r. On ATPturbo.com (I think that is right) you can get a t3 housing internally gated.

Ok, I still woudln't recommend it. The wastegate passage on that paticular housing is pretty dinky.

well.....Now I need a externally gated cast manifold with an adapter or one with a t3 flange. Anyone want to trade for a version 1 SBR cast manifold?
