Just got back from Orlando Speedworld for the BOTI event. Probally one of the worst events I have participated in as there was shitty track prep and alot of downtime. I entered the S/C class and had two chances to qualify. First pass 15psi in the tires I bogged out the hole(wasnt expecting pro tree), shifted second and bogged somemore. That pass resulted in a 12.4@126. New best mph up 4 from last weekend thanks to the additional 4psi. Second pass the pressure was on. This run I was on 12psi in the tires and spun out the hole, shifted second and bogged again, then spun when boost came on. This pass resulted in a 12.0@128!!!!! I think the wheelspin may have inflated MPH a bit but even on the bogged run I went 126 so Im pretty happy with the MPH. So the cutoff was 12.03 and I went 12.05, didnt make it into eliminations. Looks like I need to get the dual stage boost controller working soon. Still trying to go 10s on this setup, might require a stiffer suspension. |

Very funny, indeed. You are nearly where I was at. http://thelotspot.com/videos/coltboostin129point3.wmv This was rolling out of the hole as you can see, and spinning the slicks to the 1/8th (babay slicks). I also have to mowe through all 5 gears since I was using a NA Elantra trans at the time. HEAT UP THE SLICKS and make the rear stiff. That is where I saw the bast improvement in 60 ft.
