Went to the track just to spectate...one of my friends was running his car...didnt want to race anymore so he wrote his #'s on my car and told me to run it....so i did.

i was on my stock 175 series 13inch tires so i didnt wanna look like an ass...so the first run i was really soft on it, had a 2.4 60foot...the car bogged, and i ran a 14.1@108mph....the second run i slipped the clutch a little but didnt go over 3/4 throttle in 1st gear....ran a 13.5@107....the guy in the z06 vette that i hung with gave me a weird look....funny...he could have bought about 50 of my cars for what he paid for the vette....(i have 1200 into my colt)..last run my buddy in his 96 cobra mustang ran me...still being extra gentle with a 2.338 60' and not flooring first gear.....un tuned (wayyy rich) i did a 13.4@108.5mph....he ran a 14.0@99 if i would have had some sticky tires with me i think i could have gotten a low 13 or maybe a realy high 12.......i cant wait to get this little thing tuned for 26psi (im on 16-18psi now)...I had a bunch of people cheering for me too....being the underdog is great.

Wow, thats a quick ET for running 13"ers!!! Best I could do on 195/50/15's was a 2.5 60'!

Don't forget who the real underdog's REALLY are:
4th of July project...4 years with the 4G63 8)
Really nice times there, can hardly believe the 13"s we giving you anything to work with. Well kind of like drifters, there is a good point of threshold where the tires must do their best but it sounds like a find line, hell they may even work better spinning the whole time!

yeah I was really easy on it....i was trying to find the breaking point but i didnt get enough runs in....only 3....it was the first time taking the colt down the strip. first gear was a dog...i have a massive turbocharger and launching from like 2200rpm, and not going WOT till 2nd gear it takes to about 4500 in 2nd to make 16psi..then its a spinning frenzy....but if i git on it through first it will roast the tires till 4th gear. If i had like 2 or 3 more runs i know i could have had a low 13 on my pizza cutters.

As for some of the Mods on my colt....
Ported head
3angle valve job
ARP studs & bolts (rods, mains, head)
Mitsu MLS gasket
Balance shafts removed
2.5IC pipes, 26x9x3 FMIC
GM MAF & MAFT
650cc injectors
255lph HP pump
3inch cat back (side exhaust)
2100 clutch
ported 1g manifold with delta gate
Holset H1c turbo with bullseye turbine
**STOCK 1g DSM o2 housing and downpipe**

I have a tubular manifold and a 2.5inch o2 w/ 3inch Downpipe to put on....then i need an SAFC and a good tuning....im going to go for about 26psi...hopefully it will do a low 12 on slicks

Right now its severely un-tuned and running really really rich..i probably have a good 40hp to unleash with just tuning alone...if it was tuned now 0n 16-18psi it hopefully would trap about 5mph faster...and since im so easy on it at first, i used up a good portion of the track before i really opened it up.....if i could get on it harder without spinning them off, it would trap alot higher too. man i love this little car.....all this fun for $1200 bucks!!
