Finally in the twelves!!! :D It took drag radials to do it though. Basic mods are e316g, 22 psi, bfg 205/50-15's, 94 pump
This run is against a 50 trim TSI-I lost of course. Interesting to note is my car had more speed in the 1/8 :-? Colt in right lane.

I set my new best 1/4 mile time at Empire Dragway last night. Latest mods include a Clutchmasters FX-600 twin disk that I installed four hours before driving to the Shootout this year, and a Coolingmist CMGS ver# 10.7 that I installed about a month or two ago.
The temprature dropped from 80 into the mid 70s and it was sunset when we arrived at the track.
I made ten passes:
1&2) to finish off the last 2.5 quarts of pump gas I had in the tank. (I know this, because I had just poured two gallons into my tank on the side of the I-90 with semis whizzing by, exactly 34 miles from the track.)
3) was immediately after I added 5 gallons of Sunoco 112 race fuel 12.007@114.28 mph.
4) I missed third gear and ran a 12.351@115.01.
5) I screwed up the launch (2.49-60') that netted me a 13.20@115.81.
I dialed in for bracket racing at my previous best of 11.86...
6) I jammed the brake at the finish line in the first round running an 11.981@106.74 mph.
7) I ran 11.95@116.88 for the win.
8 ) 12.027@118.90 for the third win.
9) Semifinal run was a heartbreaker. He got the holeshot on me by .204 and beat me to the finish line by .166. I ran within 7 thousandths of my dial time, and lost. :o
Image
10) The car was running great, I wasn't picking up any knock all night, so I decided to hang it out a little further before they sent us all home.
Image
As a bonus, I picked up my second trophy this week.

I like that idea, hopefully I can make it to the track this year. We did have a nice list somewhere but it hasn't been updated in a while.

Here it is, I thought it was longer too hmmm, I think there is another one somewhere else but a fresh one would be cool..

The one you are posting in now is longer than that :D
I would like a list of mods and weight kind of like dragtimes.
Help other gauge what they want to do and what they need to get there.

these are good ideas but the problem is... you can have 1 car and 6 diff drivers and you will end up with 6 diff times.. everyone weighs diff and drives diff. I have been playing around with the idea of a thread that is a sticky so it doesnt get clustered up... any new addition to it would be thru the main mod's to add via e-mail or something....but it would be something like this..

89-92 colt hatchback...89-92 sedans... 93-96 sedans....90-95 van/wagons..

engine with basic bolt-on mods to reach 300 fwd HP..

engine with basic bolt-on mods and upgraded fuel/tuning parts to reach 400 fwd HP

engine with basic bolt-on mods and upgraded head/pistons to reach 500 fwd HP

engine with basic bolt-on mods (reserved for higher HP stuff)

then onto the awd section doing same thing...

exact parts list for the swap to X motor.. from X motor..and trans.. ( i know its covered many times.. but 1 place for all info would be great)

its kinda like the basic dsm built list.. but I think we can clean it up alot and make it alot more... straight foreward if thats possible... it will take lots of input from members on there builds and dyno numbers.. along with timeslips 1/8th and 1/4 mile.. what tires..air pressure.. axles..fluids.. all that stuff ..

right now its just a thought so lotssssssssssss to work out still.. but I think it would be nice to say hey..

I want a 92 colt hatchback and a 94 coupe with X motor swapped in.. what parts do I need for the swap... next is I want the 94 to be my DD and be 300 WHP.. and the hatch to be 600 WHP.. how do I do that? ... well I would look at this thread and have everything I need to know to make it happen all in 1 thread... from gathering swap parts to buying the parts to build the motor..

I hope im not getting in too deep here as its still a thought in my head.. but if anyone else thinks its a good idea I will try to get it going.

ok brain hurts now so ill stop lol...

Steve
