Went to our track Sunday for the first time with the mirage.
It was around 80-85 deg. outside. Ran the car with my street tires at about 20psi and with a blown wastegate the turbo was making 22-24psi.
I averaged 13.5-13.6 at around 111mph. My best of the day was a 13.201 at 112.83mph with a 2.344 60'.

Does anyone know how the jdm 4g61t cams compare to the US cams or the 4g63t cams? I want more top end!! thank you!

What turbo are you running?

I was doing close to that using the 14b @ 19psi. Also, what was your 1/8mi. time and mph?

As far as the cams, I'd go with the HK$ 264/264 for the 4g61t. Congrats on the times.

Bill

I switched my exhaust cam in my 61 to the 63, the intake is the same so i only did one and i noticed a difference at around 5 thousand rpms to redline about a 10 to 15 hp increase.

I am using a small 16g with a 7cm housing. my 1/8 was 8.782 @89.21. wheel hop was very bad. My front 2 bolts on the cross bar that the motor mount mounts to is stuck half way in and needs to be retapped.
My wastegate actuator is not working I pressurized the ic pipe and found that the wastegate is not doing anything but leaking alot!

What all did you have done besides the 14b billnutz?

Well, at the time of that pass the mods were:

TRE AFC/MASC
1g snorkel
14b @ 19psi on race gas
StarQuest IC (POS)
1G BOV
2g fuel rail and 450cc injectors
Mild head port and 3-angle valve job with all stock hardware (had to be done anyway)
1g cams
1g exhaust manifold (unported)
Ported 1g O2 housing with custom dump
3" turbo-back exhaust
Manual steering rack
No AC
DSM AWD pressure plate w/ACT 6-puck (not recommended)

Now I've done a few more things, primarily to get the weight down:

Carbon fiber hood w/Mr. Gasket hood pins
Al rear bumper (~10lbs)
Konig Traffic 15"x6.5" wheels (12.5lbs each)
Hawker Odyssey PC545 battery (12.6lbs) with custom Al tiedown
Front and rear strut tower braces
TRE Transmission
ACT 2100 with street disc

I still dont get the purpouse of this part. If you remove the bumper support the bumperskin still bolts right onto the car.
