Yes I understand the wheels suck and there is too much wheel gap but for the time being I’m tryin to go for a complete sleeper look, plus I don’t have the cash flow for slipstreams and lower springs or coilovers. Anyways, a little about the car, actually, A LOT about the car so I hope you have some time to sit down and read and enjoy.

The car is a 1989 Dodge Colt Turbo. I purchased it locally from a guy back in October of 2004. The car already had the 4g63t swap in it, which was nice, and the guy who did the swap was from PA and did a fantastic job swapping the motor, everything was fully intact from a stock 4g63t, even all the bullshit vacuum lines and charcoal canister. I bought the car with the Corvette Red paint job and it’s one of the best exterior conditioned turbo colts I have ever seen, though I have had three other 4g15 colts growing up through high school, and they were in pretty decent shape too. The car came with an 18g turbo that had a beat up compressor wheel, FMIC installed by Custom Coach of America with core measurements of 25x8x3. You can see in a couple of the pics when I first got the car of the upper intercooler pipe and how it runs underneath the upper radiator hose, a terrible design really. Here is a pic of when I first bought it:

Other mods at the time of purchase included a stock 2g exhaust manifold, and nice victory performance 2.5â€

Holy crap, that was a nice novel to read before bed at 2am...

So we finally get to see pictures of the beast..after I nag you for about a year, she looks awesome! That paint job puts my factory coat to shame!

That's a real nasty car there, but the best part about it...the steelies, I love 'em.

Props jason!

Thanks for all the nice complements and sorry for the long-winded submission but I wanted to kind of let everyone know exactly what the car has been through since I've been on this site. Just to let everyone know, the pick of that red talon in the back, here it is during street racing season. Just give yall some idea of the way we put DSMs together, lol.

And here is another pic of my turbo with the O2 housing assembly, just gives a decent idea of the size of the turbine housing.

Since I've already posted a ton of pics I might as well post one more. It concerns the silver colored insulation piece on the bottom side of the hood. Well mine was there like all the T/E/Ls have to protect the paint from messing up due to under-the-hood temperatures. Mine was kinda on its last leg though and I wanted to coat the underside of the hood with something that could insulate and be protective at the same time. Went to Wally World (walmart) and picked up about 4 cans of rubberized coating insulation spray. It comes in a red labeled aersol can and its about $3.50 a can if I remember correctly. I took the hood off the car. Taped the entire top side of the hood and leaned it up against a wooden spool so I could steel wool the underside of the hood. I got it nice and rough and removed most of the red factory paint and then I sprayed on a nice layer of primer. I let that dry and then sprayed on a good layer of the rubberized coating. I let that dry for 1 full day then I came back and threw on another good coat. I let that dry for another full day and then put the hood back on the car. For the first week or so the coating will be kinda wet and is easily dented or removed by fingernails. I really don't touch the underside of the hood anyways and the finish product has cured well after about 2 weeks. Looks like this:

You are probably referring to Mike Rizzotti, who I think is from Vermont. That car is pretty nasty. We call Dave's car (highpsitsi guy) Mike Rizzotti's clone since they look identical.

nope.. you'd be thinking of Mike, who is a damn cool guy btw.. he helped me a bunch with my suspension/wheel/tire combo setup... the fact that my car looks like his is coincidence, i wasn't trying to be a copy cat!

I like it :) What bends did you use to fab that o2 housing? Did you tig or mig it? It looks awesome.

I used a t-304 stainless steel 1D 2.5" 90 degree bend from woolfaircraft.com. 1D means the Radius of the bend is 1 x diameter, so the radius is 2.5". This is a very tight radius and from there I cut one end of the bend close to a 30 degree angle, and welded that end onto the O2 housing flange. That makes the total angle of the pipe around 120 degrees. It was a little easier than using pie cuts. If you can get your hands on a victory performance O2 housing or some other aftermarket housing then you can at least use it as a template to build one. We used a Miller MIG welder to do all the welding. TIG would be ideal but the miller was nice.

Does the o2 housing have the same mounting locations as an oem o2 housing? I could make a jig with one of those, if that is the case.
