This months ROTM comes rather unexpectedly...that's right, it's a fourth gen sedan! Chris aka "red91colt" picked up his colt quite a while ago after being a Honda boy for quite a while. He owned two CRX's, and a 1992 Civic hatch, all which met their demise. He even owned a 1989 Nissan 240sx, which he ended up selling to his girlfriend.

He ended up picking up his 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage Coupe ES for a little over a grand, while the car having a "ton of miles."

Over time, the car has had a good "once over." Chris decided to Auto-Cross the car, so leaving things stock was just a bad idea. The suspension is no longer stock, he outfitted it with KYB AGX Shocks/Struts, and H&R Sport Springs. The stock stoppers needed to go, so he opted for the 2000 LS brake calipers, with with re-drilled Powerslot OZ Lancer rotors, all finished off with Hawk HPS Pads. Now that the suspension had been worked, it was time to deal with the engine. He needed more pep, so he opted to ported and polish the head, and port matched intake and exhaust manifold. He topped that off with a 4g93 throttle body with port matched plenum. Also under the hood (or no longer) is a CRX Si shortram intake, and a relocated battery. As far as transmission goes, he put in a ACT clutch to handle all the abuse he would be giving the transmission.

As far as the exterior and bling goes, Chris is running 14" third gen Integra steelies with Falken Azenis for his auto-crossing setup, and 14" SSC Wheels with Sumimoto radials for when he's on the streets. Since he would be driving the car on and off the track, he decided to ditch the stock system. He swapped in a Alpine CDA-9833 deck in place of the lame stock unit, and is running Pioneer speakers, 6" in the front, and 6x9"s in the rear. Chris also wanted more "boom for the buck," so he went ahead and put in a Concept 450 watt amplifier in the trunk, to keep the two Polk 12â€

this coupe isnt stock buddy!

the funny thing about the dent is, that ANY of the blemishes on the car were put on when i wasnt in its presence. the dents on the hood are from when my GF at the time took the car to school.
