With all these "new car" threads popping up, I figured I should show my new purchase. I have been looking for a new DD for more than a few months now, but couldn't get on board with anything newer than 2000. I was a little reluctant to buy a DSM for a daily, but the car, along with the price I was offered, was too good to pass up.

I went to high school with the previous owner, as well as found him the car to buy 10 years ago to replace his '95 Eclipse RS. It hasn't been driven in about 4 years because he broke something in the trans. Should be an easy fix for me though. Hasn't seen a winter since 2006, and has no real rust to speak of. Car has tasteful mods and all maintenance is up to date. He works at a local NAPA so any time there was a sign of something wearing out he replaced it immediately. My plans are to change the wheel and tire setup, change the stereo/gauges/turbo timer for more factory-looking stuff, and a few other upgrades. After that I just want to drive and enjoy the car. Car is currently in storage along with my Colt until spring time when all that nasty salt is washed off the roads. Below is a copy and paste of the current mod list.

Oil it to keep the strut tower rust from becoming the crazy neighbor next door, that you just can't get rid of!

Looks really really clean though.

Way ahead of you. Picked up a set of dubs for it because, well, I'm a ricer. 18x8.5 5zigen FN01R-C's with some Potenza RE-01's in 245/40/18. Should fit nicely over the Evo Brembos I have planned for it.

I don't hate those wheels, but I'd definitely take the 5Zigen over them. Congrats on the pickup, those are my favorite 2g body style!
