What are your intake air temps like at the manifold? That intercooler is purty schmall...

Don't know. It's rated for over 450cfm and 350hp.

ATWs dont have to be as big as ATAs to cool the charge.

very cool build.

i have a buddy's dsm using that intercooler on an hx40, it didnt ever remotely cool the air, about the same temperatures as a hotpipe, even using ice in the reservoir and using a bosch gt40 water pump.
you may want to check your post intercooler temps. that would definitely help with knock if you are seeing above average temp.
although at 9psi, i am sure it isnt too hot.

Well that intercooler is only rated to around 350hp so If he was running an HX40 I would think that intercooler option was a little small for that application.

Normal driving is ambient with the MAF IAT. After a WOT pull it peaks at 130 or 140.
