We need a stanced, fitment, hellaflush (as some put it), poked, pic thread. And if there is one already then point me in that direction. I couldn't find one. The reason I wanna see some pics is due to the lack of CSM's with this sort of wheel fitment. Being a part time Dubber I love the look and will be doing this to the Mirage. Basically I'm at the stage of purchasing wheels and need to get an idea about what the car will look like. So any CSM pics would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

"raises hand" I'll start..

I just typed a huge rant but took it all back as not to offend anyone. Just hoping this is a joke of some kind.

I quit the VW scene after nearly 20 years because that stupid "stanced" shit turned everyone into idiots. If your car wasn't running $2000 wheels, and dragging frame, it wasn't "acceptible".

Dumb as ufck .

Bling!!! Check out these rims! I picked these beauties up for $49.99 each, on sale at Pep Boys.

The "Stance" was carefully engineered as to allow me to auto-X, run a sub 12 second quarter mile, or even pull in a driveway without anything rubbing.

I had mine stanced for a while, it was horrible. I couldn't stand driving like that. Most of the members prefer to drive their cars instead of just look at them. Plus with csm's, and I learned this from trying to stance my car, that the rear suspension design isnt made for it. When you excessively lower them, the rear end tends to shift to the left side of the car and cause you to tear up your tires and wheels. Now I didnt have my fenders rolled or pulled either, but my point is that our cars aren't made for it. It throws off the whole cars alignment and makes it not track straight and be unstable. Just my 2 cents from experience :D

AWD solves that problem with the rear track bar.

As would an adjustable pan-hard bar. Which requires simply one redneck, one welder and one six pack of beer.

The inability to get any negative camber in the rear also makes it difficult to "stance" these cars. You also can't get that much negative camber in the front, even with adjustable plates. It's almost like the car was designed not to be ruined by people who follow the worst automotive trend in the history of automotive trends.

Something else that could be accomplished with the help of beer.

I figure I will contribute to this thread. Like people have said, the biggest form of wheel fitment here is functional. My front wheels are as close to flush as
I would like, spacers are needed for the rear. No scrubbing with this setup. Here are the pics.
