1.) That guy is a member on here.
2.) It's a 1g AWD chassis with an Elantra body placed over it
3.) It might not make 700hp, but I've definitely seen it dyno over 500whp at Buschur's shop (mustang dyno).

If you ask me, fruit and banana bad-ass car and total sleeper.

I remember seeing it in NJ and peeking under the rear of the car, he walks around and says "yep its AWD". 8)

That car is the ultimate sleeper. Just imagine pulling up to it on the street in your brand new Z06 and he revs up on you. You piss all over yourself from laughing so hard and then he leaves you and your $800 car payment behind.

I used to have a little red Elantra just like that. It uses the 1.6L DOHC engine and would be very suitable for a swap. Can't imagine that putting the body on a 1G chassis was easy. Figure that putting an AWD system under it would have been easier. It does move well and there aren't too many of us that can say we have a car that fast no matter what it looks like.

Don't they have a 1.8L 4G67 motor? Or were both available?

Yeah, i saw that car at the showdown also. Fast as hell!! If you watch his first run, the rear bumper cover is fine. He's going so damn fast at the end of the run, the cover flies off. :P In his subsequent run he doesn't even bother fixing the cover, just runs without it!
