You could post a new thread every single day with pics of your EVO and I wouldn't care one bit. FYI |

Probably has something to do with the fact that USA has had them for years so they have had a chance to come and fade away already. They were not allowed in Canada until the last few years, they still get attention up here. |

Yeah but the newer evo's and the older rare early evo's are two different beasts all together. The earlies will be/are a collector car. There was a shit load of 7's,8's,9's and 10's made. I doubt they will have the same "rareness" factor as the older evo's that were not availible in the north american market untill recently when they became legal for importation into canada. Plus the earlies just rock. No electronic driveline stuff. just the car and the driver... sorta like the good ol' DSM's. Plus the Evo I is the FIRST evo!! Just like owning a 1990 DSM, it has the "ol school" feel to it. They only made 5000 of the early evo's (Evo I-III in each year in the WHOLE world. I wonder how many are actaully left. This is why i refuse to "destroy" or cut up my evo in favor of mods. It will stay mostly stock. Maybe ill remove the stock exhuast and put it in storage and bolt up a custom 3" mandrel bent piece and maybe a walbro and a boost controller along with a socketed eprom and a burned chip. I will do my damned best to not wreck this engine and tranny so i can keep it a "vin matching" car or at least keep the matching block/tranny stored away ready for a rebuild.... In 10 years or so im sure the value of this car will not be going down considering the rareness factor. Same thing goes for the Gt4 RC. They are cars worth keeping. They are a piece of WRC rally history. |
