Nick has a handful of runs in the 185-190 range. I think he got the bugs worked out and is gonna give it a go in the morning again. He is going to stay all week until he captures a record or breaks, and so far the car is running very very well. Aside from not being tuned before he left. After going through the logs from the racepak and ecmlink, I think I found all the issues. One test pass this afternoon and the data from that run looks great.

Car is not overheating this year, so that is a big plus. But we have decided the halfass tune we came up with over the phone should get it done and hope to put the car over 200 tomorrow. Kind of awesome how he still is babying the car and making the power he is. The most I have seen from the TPS this event is 52%. He sure has built a mean ass car. He is even talking of FINALLY turning the boost up after almost three years if all goes well in the next day or two. Racing runs through satruday. 8 whole days. fruit and banana, I can't imagine.

Just got a message from Nick. He went 201.345 at 30% throttle spinning very very bad in fifth gear. So much he is not gaining any momentum. He said the car is making more power than it ever has. He said it is running very smooth and very cool. Unfortunately he just cannot put it down on the small salt tires. Just glad to hear he is back over 200.

crazy ass streamliner. went 379 the first day and broke the quick change on the backup the second day, then made another 379 and went back to impound. this was the gas record, and the next one was a fuel record.

it amazed me that people still use worm clamps on boosted cars. in fact doubling them is some cases. USE FREAKING T-BOLT CLAMPS.

uhhhh all the evo's/DSM's used worm clamps stock. And i dont think they ever have issues with them blowing pipes off... even with the EVO X's running 20+ PSI they dont blow off.

There must be a reason why mitsu used them.

Granted tho that all the turbo diesel's use t-bolts oem. Those run closer to around 30-40 psi of boost tho.

The MIghty Max made a single run all week. They went 141.001 with a turn out. I am assuming they hurt something as they had no other runs or attempts last week. It was more or less built by Buschur Racing this time around. It has a FP3052 and AEM.

At one time the truck was naturally aspirated and was running dsmlink at Maxton. Sucks they drove all the way for not even a full pass.

wrong......he made a record setting pass on Saturday (I did not get the speed but I think it was faster than 139) I know this because I talked to them on Saturday two cars before they made the pass and backed it up at 139.xxx Sunday. They did break fourth gear in the trans on the run on Sunday. Do you know how I know this????????I talked to them in the tech lanes when they were checking out the displacement on the engine. once again reporting misinformation. get your facts straight. :finga:

I'm getting my information directly from SCTA. Not misreporting shit.

I guess I just assumed you had to run through the quarter to qualify. Learned something new. Even going through the traps at the 1 mile will qualify you. Looking at the returns runs showed their other run. Again, learned something new.

They did 133.799 at the 2, 126.962 at the quarter and 133.570 exit(3 mile) speed. They established the record for their class. 137.400
