Very nice. I'll be interested to see how quickly that thing spools. It's basically PTE's version of a 35R HTA, right?

Will the hood still close? :P

Looks good, can't wait to see what it will do.

lol, yeah the hood will still close. people say it spools faster than a 35r. im not sure if its similar to hta35r, i have to google it. the blades are billet aluminum rather than cast. the turbo is rated for 680hp but people have been making way more power than that with them. chrispeed at awd motorsports made 784whp with the exact same turbo on a full interior evo with no nitrous. there really impressive.

lovely turbo.... a friend here is putting this one in his Supra7 (1jz)
what is the expected spoolup RPM on 4g63t? and when exactly does 35R spools up? when will u have full boost with this turbo?

Would this be a daily driven car? cuz i think with this big turbo the car will seriously lack low end power

A standard GT35R will usually spool between 4,000-4,500rpm on a 2.0 liter 4G63. With a stroker setup (2.3 or 2.4 liter) you can get spool about 1,000rpm's sooner. It depends on what kind of manifold setup you're using and what the rest of the car has (i.e. intake manifold, cams, intercooler & piping, exhaust)

4000-4500 for spool and another 1k for full boost (15-20psi) hmm.... this will probably be a drag setup as lower down the RPM u will not have any power (i'm considering a complete stock head/cams etc)

I guess i will probably go for a 3070. i also have a RX6D with me but have no idea on that turbo....... heard about it?

No, I'm talking about full boost by those RPM's. 30psi by low-mid 4's.

very tempting, im getting a 35R for a good price.

BTW 4k-4.5k full boost considering u have a complete stock motor? which manifold is recommended? could u help by giving a reference link?

as far as intake manifolds, a jmf or a magnus are the most commonly used. i have a jmf race smim on my car. for a nice equal length exhaust manifold, theres shearer, straight line specialties, or punishment racing. those three are all good, shearer is the most expensive out of the three. like tonus said intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and some cams would improve the spoolup on a stock motor with a bigger turbo. what do you have for fuel, what size injectors, pump, fuel management?

I don't really think a bigger intake manifold and bigger cams IMPROVE spool time, I would argue that they make it worse, but give you way more power up top. A stock intake manifold is gonna give you the most low-end power, it just depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to drag race it, and you're only concerned with peak power, then get a bigger intake manifold, big cams, and a HUGE turbo. If you want something that's streetable then go with a more mild setup. I'm a fan of the JMFab street plenum intake manifold, HKS 272's, and a stock throttle body. This is a great street setup when used in conjunction with a GT35R and an equal-length header.

I understand what your saying tonus about the slower spool up. I just can't imagine running turbos of these sizes with stock intake manifolds and stock cams. I wouldn't run a turbo that size unless everything else is opened up on the intake and exhaust side first. It's like trying to breath with a stuffed nose while there's a pillow over your face also.

The turbo doesn't care if the intake manifold is restrictive. A stock intake manifold can support a lot of power. Most people upgrade intake manifolds way too soon for their own good and end up going slower than they were before because they kill their powerband.
