Well, I got around to painting my car an actual color over the past few days. It's been wet sanded and buffed and waxed so it's good to go for a few. The color is Royal Blue but it really looks alot like 2000 Civic Si Electron Blue. Like the Colt, it's a $30 paint job. Wal-Mart spray can special. 5 coats of color, 5 coats of clear with wet sanding in between every coat. Then wet sanding and buffing after all is done. Let me know what you think.

you did a better job than macco ,LOL, I painted a hood once but it came out worse than a cheap macco job, that car looks like its ready to sell but it needs one thing (I LOVE MY HONDA) sticker everybody here has them, 30$ on the whole job doesnt get better than that

That's awesome for a $30 job. Why didn't you slap on a good hood first tho?

My thoughts exactly, it looks horrible with that bigass dent in the front.

Yes sir I did. I painted it in my back yard. As far as a new hood goes, I was just looking to give it a cheap paint job. If I replace the hood then I have to mess around with getting in to line up and whats worse getting it to close. This hood is bent because last winter it snowed pretty bad one morning and I live on a hillside. Well I was coming down the hill at 2am on my way to work and the plows hadn't been out yet and my car went into a spin. When I regained control the ass end whipped around and I smacked into a telephone pole right in the middle of the hood.

It must not be very windy in your back yard. How long do you think it will last, or are you just selling right away?

How much time did it take you?
Break it down for us.

prep, body work, primer, sanding, paint, sanding, paint, ..., clear coat, .....

and of course total time.

Nice job btw...
