Hey guys, after doing my exhaust to a full 3" and plumbing the front mount, i figured it was time for a little retune. So, I hauled my car to the local dyno to see what i could gain.
Mods are as follows:
evo 3 16g
evo 3 manifold & o2
evo front mount 2.5" pipe
walbro 255
SAFC2
550's
2g maf
3" exhaust turbo back

We started off at 19 psi of boost and ended up at 23 psi for the final pull.
Here's the vid: http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd14 ... =005-1.flv

Sounds great, but what kind of numbers did you make? I'm about to have a very similar setup, so I'd like to see what I can expect.

 I'm a dumbass. I totally forgot to post the numbers. On the last run on 23 psi, it made 285whp/ 267tq. I'm pretty sure my turbo is on its way out. I got it used, from a friend, who ran it for a couple years before me. Still plenty of wheel spin tho.

Hey thanks. What's this i hear, that mustang dyno's read whp 5%-10% less than a dyno jet or other dyno? Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? First hand experience would be a plus.

When I dynoed my turbo Integra a few years back I read 238whp/233 wh tq on a mustang dyno. When I dynoed it a month later on a dynojet I read 256whp/267 wh tq. You do the math.

If all you want is a high number, then you want to use a dynojet dyno, they tend to read the highest. If you want to do some serious tuning on the dyno, then you need a mustang or a dynapack dyno because they are load-bearing and that is very helpful for tuning. A dynojet is almost useless for tuning, and only good for flaunting a high-hp number to your friends and internet buddies.
