Well after selling most of the stuff off my '89 GT to pay off some bills, I got the itch to start something again. Since I loved my old Colt so much, I feel like I should throw up some pics. Some of you might remember it from its brief stay here on the board:

She had her time, and I will resurrect her again someday to be better than before. I was actually looking for another shell for my Colt parts when I stumbled across this gem on craigslist. One owner, California car. These pics are from my phone, I will take some better ones once I get her back to GR. Right now the car is sitting 2.5 hours from my home waiting for me to pick her up. Let me know what you think!

Wow, that thing is ugly as sin--but it will make a ridiculous drag car. What are your plans for it?

I want to slam it on some vintage jdm wheels, and then in a year or so throw in a 4g63 with a relatively large turbo :) .

If I had a car like that, it would get a 2.4 stroker and a 2-spd glide faster than you can say HELLAJDMTIGHTYO!

Nice find. Most of the rwd colts are out west, what are your plans as far as the trans once you swap it?(Either the powerglide or a th350/400 with a high stall would be nice imo)

I was actually thinking about keeping it a manual and going with a Supra trans :).

And Tonus, it is not ugly it is "vintage"

I saw you on projectzerog, 89coltgt. There is a lot of helpful stuff on there. How is the Max coming along?

Screw a glide and an auto, we drive street cars around here (not comunist cali yet 8) ).

I do like the idea of a 2.4 in this car though. You have the advantage of swapping out the rear end if you need more mph out of it. I guess he should start looking for a gc4s block.

It runs, but has been put off to the side for now while I work on the colt. I am currently running a d50 5 speed trans but I am gathering up parts to swap the th350. With the gm, you won't have to worry about trans failures, plus there is a slew of upgrades for them
