I was out playing around with the boost tuned up to 30+ psi (gauge only reads to 30). I hit the limiter in 5th right before a normally small bump became a launch ramp at 170. I quick shift into fourth because I was just spinning in third. Sorry for the poor quaility of the video, will have to get a better camera and show what this car can do.

WOW. You have big balls. Won't see me on a public road doing that.

You two guys must have nuts as big as bowling balls. I am jealous. :butthead: Makes my 16g look very inadequate.

I've never ran through 5th, good thing its so short though. After shifting from 4th to 5th, rpms only drop to 6,700 rpms. It looked like a nice clear strech of road...bumps are a lot bigger at those speeds. It very likely won't happen again...not those speeds anyway.

Thats hot, Me and Shearer did a top speed run in my old black colt to 178 last year.... what a ride. Hit a small bridge embutment and felt like we went airborn. LOL it then took about a mile to slow back down to 55mph. (thats when the vette I was racing finally caught up).

I am 100% for street racing, but please get a cage and 5points. I can tell you from first hand experiance that it goes from just screwing around to life and death in about .5 seconds.

Yeah, still running the same set up that went 10's at 134. I was at 26 psi on the 10.9 @ 134.4 run...this was done at over 30 psi. I have the rev limit set to 8K, the gearing works out to 142 in 4th and 174 in 5th.

I definately need to get a cage, I do have a harness for me but the passenger only has a lap belt. :o We actually drove the stretch a couple times to make sure it was realativly clear and smooth...like I said, that bump was hardly noticable at 65 mph. I've never gone that fast in my car and likely won't do so again.

ahh man I am not trying to talk you out of doing such things.... Do it again and post more videos, just get a cage. I need to see more people doing it since I am pretty much to scared after the above event to street race.

It happens so quick that I really don't think about it. The adrenaline kicked in after jumping and realizing I was going almost 3x the speed limit. Then trying to slowing down from those speeds.

The problem now is that I have a race lined up with a fully modded '06 Gixxer 1000 (full bolt-ons, PC, geared, strapped) and bad ass driver. This bike run's mid to low 10's at elevation! We are doing a 60 mph roll to give me a chance at traction but with the addition of the interior and a passenger to video (~450 lbs)...I think I'm out of my league now.

Video taken by a proper camera to come soon.

You could always mount the camera. My big camera and digital both can have a bolt installed/threaded into the bottom of them. Let me know.
