The engine bay was not very presentable, and it doesn't look like anything special either.

I don't think there's much of a story behind the exhaust. That's just how it ended up when he had it made?

So the car is nothing special under the hood, (looks like) stock interior, has terrible exhaust BUT has JDM front bumper and side skirts and a sticker?

You do make cars look awefully good Tony. HAHA
