1998 Jeep Cherokee
~150k on chassis, ~70k on engine
Price: $4000

Cliffs: No problems, no CEL, not rusty, awesome Jeep for onroad or off. Tons of recent maintenance. Ready to drive anywhere.

The previous owner of this Jeep maintained it very well and offroaded it some. I just recently did a huge round of maintenance to get the vehicle ready to be driven for a long time without any worries, but now I’m moving in a different direction. I never drove this on any roads that a regular econobox FWD car couldn’t get through. I’ve gotten it muddy in puddles before, but never offroaded or strained any parts. It’s in TOP CONDITION. The rear locking differential is mild for daily driving and makes this Jeep amazing in the snow!

ENGINE/TRANSMISSION:
No leaks, tons of recent maintenance
New distributor and gasket
New rear main seal
New oil filter housing o-rings
New oil pan gasket
New cap/rotor/plugs/wires
Rebuilt ~70k ago with some slight power adders. Still runs, starts and is as reliable as stock.
Mopar Performance Camshaft
Ported and polished head (done as Mopar specifies)
.030 overbore
’99 style intake manifold
Freshly cleaned and backflowed fuel injectors (done by New Era Performance)
Header with flex section to prevent cracking
High Flow Oil Pump
Oil changes every 2-4k
New power steering pump and fluid
New front and rear O2 sensors and front section of exhaust
Poly motor mounts
New PCV system and hoses
New serpentine belt and tensioner
Hardware to allow removal of mechanical fan for winter
Recently changed transmission fluid, filter and gasket
Fresh transfer case fluid
4x4 high and low work great

SUSPENSION/CHASSIS:
3" Skyjacker Lift Kit with add-a-leaf and replacement control arms
Rusty’s offroad heavy duty steering kit
Custom front bumper and rock rails
Front differential cage
Rear Powertrax Locking Diff
Brand new front brake calipers, rotors and pads
Freshly changed brake fluid
Eagle aluminum wheels 15x8 3.25” offset – aggressive and look great! (Includes full-size matching spare)
BFG ATKO tires 30x9.5”
Swaybar quick disconnects on front
Heavy duty rear hitch and front hitch receiver in bumper
Wired for a 4 pin trailer connection
1” transfer case drop
Frequently greased all fittings, recently lubed the driveshaft slip joint
Replaced front pinion seal
Hella 500 lights on bumper (need to be wired, but they work great)
Firestone lifetime alignment

INTERIOR:
Cruise Control, Air Conditioning
Husky floormats all around (deep and rubber...like $200 new)
Keyless Entry
Remote Start
Defrost works with the remote start
Dynamatted all the doors and the rear hatch panel and the dash pad
Aftermarket sunroof (no leaks)
Stock cassette deck, but includes install kit for a CD player and an old Clarion CD player

This is the closest to offroading that I got. Backroads/dirt roads in northern Michigan.

I can’t stress this enough, this vehicle is in immaculate condition. I’ve got a 2 page maintenance log of everything that I’ve done to it and wouldn’t hesitate to drive this anywhere. I recently took it on a 1,700 mile roadtrip without so much as a hiccough. I'm sure anyone who has seen it or been around it can vouch for it!

Looking for $4000 or best offer. More pictures to come soon.

I've ridden in this jeep quite a bit and it has my seal of approval :D
