Now spell it out guys: E-M-I-S-S-I-O-N-S

Also, I think you'll find that the late model EFI engines have a much broader torque and power range.

Here's a question for the masses:

I know the Plymouth Cricket was a re-badged British car and has no similarity to the Colt. However, I'm not quite clear on their chronology. Was the Colt in addition to or a replacement for the Cricket?

the cricket and colt.... the answer is yes. it was both along side, and eventually a replacement. the canadian colts where badged as plymouth crickets in the late 70's as well. Allpar.com has a fairly accurate chronology. however, it's not very complete.

I'd say it's a matter of opinion (and driving ability) whether front or rear wheel drive is the winner there...

I prefer rear or four wheel drive for more powerful cars - My friend has a lightly tuned Sierra Sapphire Cosworth running 270bhp at the rear wheels (RWD). I have a Peugeot 405 turbo running approx. 170bhp at the front wheels and it's near impossible to stop the thing spinning them!

Theres this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 2428482046
And also, I saw recently a Mitsubishi GTO, about 1976 on UK ebay. I can get the link to that latter.

A 1600 Lancer with 100bhp? Thats very good HP for CC for those days.

Oh well, I'll find a cherry 2 door for $50 one day :)[/quote]

NOT any time soon. they still bring $00 -1000 on ebay.....

I've been followig thee cars for a while. EVEN HARDER to find than a starlet. I have found 4 in houston one guy WILL NOT sell period. the others are a full road race set up. with a starion motor/tranny. (full built) road race chassis and a strettable one with no motor or tranny.
beast thing to do is find the AT torque flight tranny. its a two speed. sort of like a power glide..
If you have questions I might be able to answer. and if you do find one I can get you just about any motor part you need.

OH the GT is the RARE one to find. also there is a Arrow car that is RWD too. ...
the challanger is RWD too. but the tranny has a bigger housing. just put in your tranny of choice and a 63 and you on you way.

a little off topic here, but there was a starlet on ebay for a while about 6 months ago. it was wide bodied and rotary. holy cow that thing was amazing. it didn't go for much either. i wish i had cash at the time

theres a 77 plymouth arrow 200 gt in the local yard, its all straight and even has the original wheels and most of the interior. is this what we're talking about?

something semi-related, since it has a g-something-b motor in it, would all of the starion g54b turbo stuff work? sleeper?

yes and no. Yes it is a RWD that you can fit the dsm motor into(somewhat easy) No it's NOT a colt though. I believe those come with a 4 speed. If it's an AT then check to see if it's a torque flight trannt. if it is that is keeper. VERY strong. it'll be a borg warner.
good thing is htat NO one will suspect you have a turbo in it. plus no smog test :)
