Most people want to give up on fixing the car, drive it like the guy who doesn't care (and know any better) until something falls off! If only life were this simple .... "But officer, I stopped. It's not my fault. My front tire bounced past me after I stopped, and then took out the phone booth. The wheel therefore was no longer in my posession!"

HAHA! I had a old 75' Ford LTD that had alignment so bad it would wear the tires down to the belts in a month. I would put $10 retreads on it. One time going down the highway at 65(didnt know any better)the front right tread slipped off the tire and slapped the fender well. That LTD started bucking like crazy! Then the tire shot up into the air at least twenty feet and i saw it rolling down the center of the highway in my rear view. Funny thing is the tire didnt go flat. It smoothed out and i pulled over to inspect it and saw it was merely a Balogna skin. Not much more than a innertube! Got me home though the ride was a tad mushy! :D
P.S. sorry about hijacking the thread!
