ok so the first odd thing is the R54 opt.(stock) second:is the 1989 galant beakes front and back disc(also stock) now for the new wierd thing about my summit... EPROM ECU!!!!!!! MD147338 can someone verify this for me? there is a E in front of the numbers located on the side of the box,also wheni opend it up the chip it's self also has a E on it, thanks guys |

Well, here's a quick way to tell if you have an eeprom ecu... look in the ecu and if there's an eprom there, it's an eprom ecu. |

can you sanp pics of the front brake setup? as for rear disc its not un commoni to have rear disc 89 GT hatches had them 89-90 GS sedans came with them too.. |

yea i will get pic's tomarrow morning. if you want a pic sooner it's the AD54 caliper. i will get pics asap tho!!! however i will warn ANYONE doing a galant brake swap to NOT! parts are hard to find in junkyards!!! heh it took me 6 months of looking at pick-n-pull to find the galant i needed!!!

Why? The Mirage Turbo and Galant E30 calipers are the same - or at least that's what I've been told. |

Galant GSX's (GTi's here) - are not hard to find over here - neither are Galant GLSi's - which are discs front and rear like the GTi. |

Congratulations. You have an EPROM ECU, and for whatever reason it's also socketed. That's really odd. Your car hasn't ever been tinkered with before, so can it be a factory socketed EPROM? |

umm possible yes..... however im gonna have to move the car here in a few days... cause i cant come up with rentmoney but after ifind a new home he is more thanwelcome to LOOK into it's wierdness(new word) butyes this car is stocker than a well... ummm showroom lol well mostley it's going to have it's 3rd tranny wich will probley be the galant VR4 5M33 turbo tranny(it has vents for the tranny it's kinda cool looking!!!) |
