Woohoo! Just scored a '93 Summit sedan for two hundred and twenty bucks!

Obviously it needs a little work... It has salvage title, a blown automatic, a wonky strut up front (leading to some weird camber issues), and it burns some oil but I can't complain for the price... The interior is damn near mint (with WAY better seats than my coupe), the body is okay (a few dents and some odd panel fit), and it has a 4G93 engine and the beefy 24mm front sway bar (which I've been looking for for some time.)

Here are pics:

I haven't decided what to do with it yet. If I can find an easy solution to the oil burning (oil level in the engine is WAY too high) and high NOx readings (timing is set all the way to one side?) I might try and put it back on the road. Otherwise I might part it out and use all the nice bits in my coupe. Or, maybe I'll prep it for clubrally.

Anyway, there it is, my big news for today.

If anything, the Mirage (coupe) is getting boosted first. Actually I was thinking it would be fun to tune the Mirage with a 4G63 and turbo, while the Summit gets high compression pistons, a lightened rotating assembly, a lumpy cam, twin Webers and 100 octane race gas. Then I could drag race against myself. :P

(But that will never happen since I earn $7.50 an hour. Doh!)

I have now updated my website and my member profile with lots of Summity info and pics.

And, for no reason at all, here's another random shot that I happen to like...

I guess this whole thread should have gone in the "pics and vids" forum but I wasn't thinking at the time. Move if necessary.

Part it out! Use the money to do what you want to do on the first car. Two project cars will run you in the ground! ;)
