While we're on this topic...
I got my Bachelors degreee from University of Wisconsin-Platteville about a month ago, majored in Industrial technology management and minored in plastic processing. Needless to say, I've been searching for a job to utilize my acquired skills for the last 6 months, and finally was offered a great postion.
Today I got hired on as a Manufacturing Engineer at a local injection molding firm about 25mins away from my house. I serve as the plant floor technician for all 28 of our injection presses, and am supervisor of a 10 person crew. They offer 70/30 health insurance, awesome 401K matching, 5 days vacation (almost unheard of for the first year of employment in the US), 11 holidays per year, and a salary that should supplement my automotive addiction quite nicely.
Its a great feeling after sending out piles of resumes and driving all over hell for interviews for the past 6 months!!!
Anyways, its my first 'real' job and I'm totally thrilled!!!
Thought I should share!
regards,
Paul A.
