Well, the company decided to do another round of layoffs (that's 4 in the past two years) so I'm now looking for a job.

My degree is in Computer Engineering, although I haven't been using it much over the past few years.

I'd like to get into microcontroller programming.

Wanna support medical equipment in Canada?

that would work.

Can I do it from here?

My wife has an almost perfect job for her, so it would be difficult for us to move from this area. I'm just thankful that we don't have any little rugrats to feed.

Unfortunately you would need to move... I honestly don't know why though because everything can be done from home... I quite often don't feel like going into the office because I would have to shave and stuff so I get a cup of coffee and work from the comfort of my couch...

So what should the next BOV post be like Jason; "Homeless community erected for owners of CSM's?"
I too like yourself felt the crunch a few weeks ago, White Rose Home and Garden Centres no longer exists as a business entity. As of March 19, 2004, they filed for bankruptcy. Just received legal papers from lawyers stating all this jive. Won't do much good sendin' the papers to me when they have no money showing in the bank and they owe me 7 vacation days (dagnabbit I could have got more parts for the car and had it back on the road already :o )

The only comment that seems to leave me happy rather than sad is "Such is life"

Words of advice: -=take them as you may  =-
"oh and stay living with your parents; you can always fit more tools in someone else's garage!" 8)

That would be nice, have someone connect the car to the diagnostic computer, and then telnet or SSH into it.

Good luck to all who are seeking employment.
