Well, most laws are written with a phrase similar to "driving under the influence while operating a motor vehicle." I guess if it has a motor, electic or combustion, and you are operating it, it's a crime.

I would assume that would apply to bar stools, riding lawnmowers, mopeds but would probably not apply to push mowers or RC cars since you arent actually 'driving' it.

heh...yep police charge you for anything these days. My friend got carged $150 (NZ dollars) for backing out of his driveway too fast, and another of my friends got charged $250 (i think) for excessive accelleration in his Skyline when he was only on 66% throttle (according to his car computer thingy).
