I can't believe anybody actually likes these cars. They are total crapcans! They didn't even paint the bottom of the hoods on them! It's just primered. Very cheaply-made. Mitsubishi is going down the toilet, and they can take this econobox with them!
Could not agree more! The only thing this car has going for it is that it's light for a new car at under 2k lbs. with some decent factory colors. In a couple years time, when they are forgotten about, they will just be another shit econo bubble car.

Apparently the better MPGs you get the more license you have to make the car ugly as fruit and banana, must be some kind of offset factor..

That's exactly it. It's just a throwaway car. Use it, abuse it, and toss it. I love my cars too much to treat them like that.

You guys remember that our beloved CSM's were just throwaway econobox crapcans too right?

Not the turbo models! People seemed to actually give a shit about those.

The turbo models were just throwaway econobox crapcans with a turbo engine and nice seats, lol. Crapcans with good engines was an 80s thing (Rabbit GTI, Omni GLHS, Corolla GT-S, etc).

Doesn't make them any less an econobox, it just means that some folks were nutty enough to spend nearly double to buy theirs ;).

But the '80s crap cans had the undersides of the hood painted! What's the cost to have a completely painted hood? An extra $25? Pass that cost on to the customer, don't settle for an unfinished product to save some bucks.

That article says it's a pre-producution model, so maybe they're now painted. Who knows. I may go take a peek and see for myself :).

I like the fact that they're so damn light. Someone should swap a EVO X motor/drivetrain into one.

I'm hoping there will be a Mirage GT or Ralliart version.

Yes, would love to see this thing turn into a Abarth competitor!

Oooh! I got it! They leave the engine bay and underside of the hood primed so you can come up with some god-aweful opposite color scheme like this turd here! HAHA!

^ I would drive that daily! Still not a huge fan of the look but the side skirts help.
