They are old cars so problems are almost guaranteed. Sometimes I think about the maintenance and money that it takes to keep up an older Mitsubishi, or any car for that matter. Seems there is always something that needs to be done or just something you want to change about it. But at the end of the day its better than making a $500+ car payment on an evo and it still breaking and taking even more money. |

Don't look at it like a curse, look at it like a challenge. Anything that goes wrong with it can be fixed. |

Yea, yesterday was a definite challenge. Trans shop that I had pull the broken bolts out of my block didn't put a cotter pin back on the axle nut, so my driver front axle nut began to back off going down 65. But, being the man I am, I had all the tools to repair on the side of the interstate. Except once I got back in the car, my emergency blinkers had drained my battery.... Roll start on the side of the interstate by myself. I was on a hill, so I had to roll the car in reverse towards oncoming traffic. Got it going though, swapped batteries this morning and everything is fine now, but I thought I was dead last night. |

I've driven cars for thousands of miles without cotter pins and never had an axle nut back off. They had to have not even tightened it... |
