Yesterday at work i got talking to a coworker. He mentioned he wanted to mod a camaro and he knows a guy who has a 600 hp supercherged 2010 camaro. Of course i had to nonchalantly mention that that much power is useess in rwd car anywhere but a dragsrtip with slicks and my colt woud kil him of course he was reluctant to believe me. He didnt even believe that i have raced a 2010 ss with drag radials chip exhaust etc and won. This guy is a mechanic too but its just amazing how close minded people are. they just cant see the colt ever being fast cause it doesnt look fast. Not in its current tune but in 2010 i did 11.8 at 123 mph with my colt on shitty radials. On street tires 2010 camaros are in the 13's at our track. I have had this exact same conversation before. The 2010 camaro thing gets em every time. I can spend forever trying to convince them power to weight ratio and traction. AWD IS GOOD. I told one guy my colt would smoke his king ranch diesel truck and he laughed at me. He wanted to fight me. I dont know why i bother. Im just curious how often you guys do this. For some reason the 2010 camaro is the fastest and most incredible and unbeatable car of all time. It looks so damn fast that it cant be beat. The video od 11 second pass doesnt help. They just assume a camaro woud run a 5 second pass. and if i produce a video of a colt beating a viper they would just assume the viper wasnt trying. |

I had a kid want to roll around with me about my car. He told me there was no way I was running "20 pounds of boost" on a stock engine. His exact words "You would blow the head off with that much boost." I even explained to him that boost is irrevelant but he still was being animated about the fact that I could not possibly be running that much bewst. Then he told me his '90s Z28 would beat me... These aren't "car" people we are having these arguments with, they are posers. |

I think Shaun just summed it up for all of us. I find it funny that people dont think a built colt could keep up and beat todays "super fast sportscars" just because it doesnt look fast.

That's the fun of building a swapped CSM. It's easier to let the car do the talking. I enjoy the stupid looks people give when you blow their doors off at 140. |
