What's everyone's opinion on it? I think it's trying WAY too hard to be like the UK show, but it's still relatively entertaining and I will continue to watch it. I was hoping for something more uniquely American, as opposed to something that's a blatant rip-off of the UK show, but they had to do what they thought the masses would like I guess. :? |

This week's episode was a lot better than the premier, and next week looks better still. I'm gonna keep watching.

It's nowhere as good as the UK version but they'll get better... Then they'll be yanked off the air, like most good shows. It's hard to beat the episode where Jeremy and Captain Slow drive to the north pole, or the look on Jeremy's face when they told him they would be driving Mopeds across Thiland. The best show out right now would have to be "The Walking Dead" on AMC. Now that's good television. |

Coming from a guy who watched topgear for years....actually I just watched all the seasons last last deployment (thanks to my wife who pirated them, and sent me a hard drive via USmail) I'm loving it for what its worth. It's not the UK version, but I think it will go find it's own direction, I just think that they don't know what works. If you watch the early versions of Topgear UK, it's almost completely different than what they are now. I'm really giving them a chance, but no matter how they style it, people are going to say the UK one's better. I'm not a sports guy, so one more car info show on the tube is mighty fine to me! I have always hated the reasonably priced car thing, although its cool that the Americans don't ramble on for half the episode with the celebs. |

My favorites are when they do a challenge and have to buy a certain car for a certain amount of money. Those episodes are always golden. Next week's episode of Top Gear America is gonna be a challenge episode involving a Z31 300ZX, Ford T-Bird Turbo Coupe, and a Big-Ass Cadillac. They each have to run moonshine with those cars. Should be entertaining. |

Last year they tried to lauch TopGear Australia, it was terrible. TopGear is Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hamster, Captain Slow and the Stig, that's it. |

I did see the Top Gear Australia, that did suck. The US version just copied the $1000 car episode, exept they were already in America, so they didn't have to go anywhere, and nobody pulled into camp with a bloated cow on the roof. It was just ok. The Cadillac getting air made it watchable. Next week looks promising! They're going to build battle wagons, and they'll have Kid Rock in the reasonably priced car.. |

I do enjoy watching it for what is it, but it does not compare to the UK version. If you try and disclude the fact that its a copy of the original and embrace it for it, its pretty entertaining compared to the other junk on tv. Ill keep watching |
