Woohoo, my car has a 1000rpm idle speed and a 5000rpm rev limiter!

I just picked a lower value to be safe when testing the rev limiter, which is why I went with 5000. Let me say, bouncing off the rev limiter at 5000rpm is just weird.

Time to burn some more chips... I think I only have 2 more clean ones to play with. So I need to buy an eraser soon

hey jason! thats is good!!

do you have any chip that does like the tmo? i mean for the stutter box?
if so, i want one!

good job man!

do you think a zif socket is installable on our boards?

Coltmax:

There should be no issue if you have an EPROM ECU there lots of clearence.

Jmauld:

Theres not much being discussed on the other ECU board did you find some stuff out for somewhere else?

can i get a site adress for the ecu boards!
and my ecu for my 4g61t is an eprom, unfortunatelly my 1990 dsm ecu is not!

whats the difference between the two?
is it only the fuel and timming map that are different?

Almost everything you need is in the archives! :) I added some info to the "getting started" file in the files section

Fuel, Timing, Boost, Injectors MAF etc. the code is substancially different... You could switch ECU and the other would run (although probably not very well)....

Has anyone ever seen an eprom 4g15 ECU?

ECU Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dsm-ecu

There's no hardware difference between the two. Just code. I'm running GVR4 code in my 4g61t ecu...

I socketed mine, with a ZIF socket.

jason, you are pretty implicated in this group!

You mean to say that you ADDED a socket to a non-EPROM ecu? Or just simplified the process of switching chips in your EPROM ECU by adding the socket?

Now, is it possible to use the 4g61t ECU to store 4g63t info? My roomate has a 1.6T ECU that is EPROM and I want to run a chip of some sort, but my 90 DSM ECU is non-EPROM and my 2.0L is hungry for chips ;).

Not that far yet... Just FYI, the stutterbox is going to be a disaster on most FWD cars!!! :)

Well you could rebrand it to be the smoke show mod... :)

no, I simplified the process of switching chips by putting a socket on a EPROM board. Makes testing much easier.

Yes, it's possible to use the 4g61t ECU to store 4g63t info.

I currently have a chip that I think I've increased the timing by +5 degrees across the rpm range while going WOT. I can't test this until I either get better gas or take the HRC wastegate actuator off of the T25.

imo the stutter box could be controllable on a fwd car, but this is gonna hurt the clutch

the best thing would be to get an adjustable rev limiter when the clutch is pressed, so between the shift you dont loose your spool. but then again poor 2nd gear!
