Its amazing to see the subjects of the dsm boards since Nabr got a public discussion board. They quite follow the same topics as nabr, but its good because we get complete informations.

just a remark...

I've gotten so frustrated with most of the boards that this is the only I one I check regularly. I'm like an inch away from boycotting the local dsm board, because of the crap.

Sound like this old honda slogan that was taken back by triumph...

Don't have much bad to say about NABR. Other then being scared to post there. :) It's the closest thing to the talon digest available these days.

Check out http://www.carolinadsm.com

Should be called carolinadsmidiots.com.

The one that just about pushes me over the edge. I had to stop myself from hunting this guy down and beating him til he realizes why specifying awd vs. fwd is important when trying to diagnose a drivetrain problem.

Yeah, Those guys run a TIGHT SHIP over there.
I kind of like it THAT way, because they are forcing you to post and RESPOND to a post responsibily ANNNND with correct information.

Especially when it comes to grammar.
I think we all are guilty of using shortcut grammar.

But When I see someone respond with "ownz joo" that
pubescent bullsh*t really gets under my skin.

Also, they pound in EVERYONES head to SEARCH for info that they are looking for.

Think about it. MOST of the Newbie questions have been answered a billion times B4!

But my hat is off to all of you guys here that take the TIME to direct alot of our newbies to where they can get the correct info. :)

I HATE that phrase! If I ever see the term "owned" or any variation of it on this board, then I'm gonna ban whoever posted that shit. Heck I might even just give up and delete everything (j/k). That is most annoying phrase I've ever seen. Maybe I'm just getting old and don't get it anymore. LOL

I know what you mean about getting old...

It's like when I went to see Rob Zombie last year I'm only 24 but everyone thought I must have been security because I was so much older than them :) in the middle of the set he said ah screw it let just play some White Zombie stuff me and like 2 other people cheered apprently no one else had heard of White Zombie... :-?

BTW what the hell is a NABR? sorry to look like a newbie :)

You're right Jay.....

NABR= Not A Business Racing......

A group of guys outta the south. They used to all go over this one guys house. work on their cars. Bullsh*t around. Other local DSMers would go over there. Everyone would turn wrenches and stuff.
One of the neighbors complained to the police.
When the cops finally came. The guy who owned the house told the cop

"We're NOT A BUSINESS.

Hence the name.

Those guys [the mods] are a hardcore DSM bunch of guys. Kind of cocky, but they REALLY KNOW THEIR SH*T. They have some strict guidelines, and I can understand. All of the garbage that we all see on other DSM boards don't cut it there.

You have to KNOW someone on the PRIVATE NABR board to join.
ie: an existing member has to sponsor you.

Stupid things such as:

If you are out of line ie: "ownz joo" responses
Incorrect grammar
Not researching queries first B4 posting....
Shitty responses... "dude why do u havta be a d*ck about it"

You WILL be banned and so will the guy that sponsored you.

Dont get me wrong, they have fun on that board, just none of the adolescent temper tantrums that we are used to putting up with.

Funny how all the DSM boards everywhere are full of the same idiots. I don't know whether all DSM'ers are born this way or what. The local San Diego DSM board is the same way. Every post eventually winds up turning into an insult competition. I almost left the board after the first couple days. If I didn't know the fools I would have, but for the most part those fruit and banana are alright.
