Well, it finally happened for the final time, i was engaging in some one on one competition tonight against a neon srt-4 and as i shifted to 3rd, the car started bogging and i smelled alot of exhaust in the car, not to mention it got real loud. I pulled over and noticed nothing out of the ordinary, so i decided to come home. Well, after further investigation, my bottom flange that bolts to the turbo broke again(welded twice) and for the big one, the tube that runs across the top to the drivers side wastegate totally seperated. I mean, i pulled it off! Im tired of this manifold!! I had it welded the first time for 50.00 and then paid 70 the second time but they gusseted all the tubes as every runner started to seperate from the flange. Well, im on ebay and the web and came across this ss one from obx at 175. Its all stainless, but it has no reinforcement.. I need the t4 flange and i also need a 40 mm wastegate flange. What do you guys think about this one? I dont want to spend more than 300. And i know you get what you pay for. I will consider used if it is a tubular header. I just want to stay away fro ss autochrome as ive heard bad things here. my current one is from South Florida Performance. Whoops, just noticed that this is for the 4g64 only!! Well, you get the idea though.....

Pop an email off to Hybrid Connection. If they can't find what you want they can make it. (Lee can weld stink to a skunk AKA he is damn good)

I guarantee you that OBX manifold will crack just as easily as any SS Auto Chrome piece of junk you could get your hands on. I'm suprised an SFP manifold is giving you so many problems, as i've heard good things about them, especially with their mild-steel manifolds. There are a couple guys out here running the mild-steel SFP manifold and they aren't having any problems at all. This OBX one says it's made out of SUS 321, which is actually cast stainless and not paticularly strong. I'd give that OBX manifold 3 months on your car, tops. When it comes to tubular manifolds you need to shell out the $$$ to get something that will last, it's as simple as that. You DO get what you pay for and if you're only on a $300 budget you'll be hard-pressed to find anything that won't give you a headache.

i know :(

also if i go with a different style like the equal length ones, it looks like it will position the turbo farther down in the compartment than mine. Also some of them move the trubo flange to the passenger side.

even with the wastgate tube partially separated with a big enough crack to slip a penny into, the car was still boosting to 20 psi. The car was loud on the interstate(like a old vw beetle) and i was getting into it a little to try to hear where the sound was coming from.

What turbo are you running? You may want to consider changing setups and running a DSM manifold on there if you're on a low budget and you're having issues like this.

There's no such thing as a .63 trim. There is a .63 a/r exhaust housing, and that's probably what you're confusing it with. Trim refers to the size of the wheels, not the size of the housings. I'd like to know what compressor and what turbine wheel are in that turbo, if you could give me a direct link to it on AGP's site that'd be cool.

With all that heat cycling, all tubular manifolds weaken.
Take the WEIGHT off of the manifold...

How? Start using the D/P bracket that's connected to the motor. :)

Yeah, the .63 refers to the size of the housing, not the trim. I saw someone else on here refer to their turbo the same way also...

I found another south florida performance turbo manifold yesterday. Its brand new and the guy wants 350 shipped. it has the 38 mm wastegate flange but ill have to cut my 400 mm one off and weld it onto the new one. These might not be the best manifolds but my car is set up for this style. Before i put it on, im going to has all the gussetts welded on first before i stress it and i will have to make up the bracket that goes from the turbo to the block.

You can always run a ported 2g manifold with a t3 adapter plate, works great on AMS's gt35r bolt on kit.

Finally got some pics of my turbo and down pipe tonite when i took the manifold out. I made a mistake, it says A/R .60 on the compressor housing. Just click on the pics to make'em bigger. May be someone on here knows what the wheel sizes are. I was just told it was a agp hybrid.
