Basically what I'm thinking for right now is a colt hatch, do the normal 6bolt swap, throw on a 16g and supporting mods, and enjoy my highway monster.
heh, i like how this has become an everyday type of thing, lol!
only tips i can give you is double check you have all the parts you need before you start, makes things a lot easier instead of "oh yeah, i'm gonna need one of those too" i was kinda forced into the swap (bad rear main seal on the 1.5) so i only had prolly 60-70% of the parts i needed therefore i'm STILL working on it since march

not everday, but seems like the obvious approach to me.
And I'm actually not worried about parts at all. I'll most likely get a parts car, strip it out, and build from there. Anything that breaks or is missing from that point on won't be hard to find, I live 45 mins from KOU Motorsports and they probably have a dozen of any part I would ever need.
This is most likely going to be a winter project for me, seeing as I've never really done anything like this before. I fully intend for this to sit around, incomplete, for some time. I'm ok with that, seeing as I work 60+ hours a week anyways. To be honest, half of the desire to build it is just an excuse to give me something to do during my time away from work and give me an incentive to hang out with the car guys again.
