:( The other night I blew up my stock turbo mirage. Somehow there was a massive oil leak and pow.. things smoked. Now what to do. Do I fix it or sell it. I can't go and get a complete 63T(too many$$) and I know the 1.6 will need to be rebuilt(190k miles).

Pick up a stock 1.6L/T engine and throw it in?

Rebuild the old one later.

I agree with Jason. Used 4G61 complete motors can be had for cheap. $600 or less. Just call around.

Found my low mileage J-spec 4g61t for $450 shipped. I think it was from Sun motors in California...can't remember the other sites that had them. There are also several people on here who have mentioned having one for sale, most people just go for the 63 so the 61's go for a good price.

And I'm pretty sure you can pick up a cheap 63 block, if not same price as a 61 (or cheaper). Just replace the block, you can use everything else you have I believe. Then you already have a 63 in the car and you can slowly upgrade everything else.
