It was ten degrees and sunny in Ontario today. Damn Americans, stealing all our snow. :P

Damn...snow in the desert. Rain is rare but snow is like winning the lottery. I enjoy the snow though, fun to find an empty parking lot and drift your FWD.

Speaking of e-brakes, I heard all you have to do is tighten the cable to get it to work like new again...that is, if yours is like mine and doesn't really do much when you pull it...

yeah there is a nut to tighten so you can adjust how many 'clicks' it takes for lock up.

that's pretty crazy you're getting dumped on down there already. and people still refuse to acknowledge climate change due to global warming... :-?

here is radar animation of your region:
http://radar.accuweather.com/adcbin/pub ... &type=loop

I encourage all to go out & have (safe) fun in the snow with your e-brake. when I first got a car I did just that, and mastered counter steering & controlling drift. little did I know that messing around like that would translate into having skills that would save my a$$ on more than one occasion. definately gives you an edge in accident avoidance & having the ability to regain control in hairy weather-related mishaps.

i can second that !! its true , i messed around with my talon so much in the last winters , it acctually prevented me from ditching on a couple occasion in bad storms.

Thread jack - OMG another guy from just across the river! Hull/Gatineau/Ottawa 30 km radius we all fit into.
Back on Topic - Ebrake turns are fun but reverse donuts are real attention grabbers for your passengers. Some of the best drivers in the world can't perfect an ice/snow slide on a FWD car at 100+ KMH. With the advent of drifting becoming a national pass-time for some, that may change  (wet or dry pavement).

No snow in Ottawa, just icy drizzle to wet our pallets/*pallettes* so far!
Pallet reference can be taken two ways I guess!
